
The pair of Victor Vlad Cornea and Ruben Gonzalez of the Philippines won the doubles title at the challengers tournament in Yokohama.
In the final, Cornea and Gonzalez (3-seeds) defeated the Japanese pair of Tomoya Fujiwara/Masamichi Imamura 7-5, 6-3. The match lasted one hour and 12 minutes.
Victor and Ruben received $3,100 and 80 points in the ATP doubles ranking for winning the competition in Japan.
This is the fifth challenger title for Cornea after two victories in Prague (Challenger 50) and in Forli (Challenger 80).
