Canada also imposes sanctions on “35 senior officials of energy companies and six organizations in the energy sector involved in the illegal invasion of Russia. We also intend to impose sanctions against representatives of the Russian justice and security sector,” Trudeau tweeted on Friday.

In preparation for winter, Canada allocates funds to provide housing, blankets, clothes and heaters to Ukraine. There will also be funds for demining.

“As the Russian regime continues its unfounded and unjustified aggression against Ukraine, we will continue to support the government and people of Ukraine,” Trudeau wrote on Twitter.
