President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi in his address on Sunday evening said that only Russia is capable of using nuclear weapons in this part of Europe.

Zelensky criticized Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu’s suggestion that Ukraine was preparing to use a “dirty bomb” in the current war, a statement the Russian official made during discussions with Western ministers, News.ro noted.

• “Wherever Russia has brought death and destruction, we are bringing life back to normal. Ukrainians do it. Where Ukraine is, life is not destroyed. But wherever Russia goes, it leaves behind mass graves, torture chambers, destroyed cities and villages, mined lands, destroyed infrastructure and natural disasters.
• Thus, when today the Minister of Defense of Russia organizes a telephone carousel and calls the ministers of foreign affairs with stories about the so-called “dirty” nuclear bomb, everyone understands everything well. To understand who is the source of all the dirty things imaginable in this war.
• It was Russia who blackmailed with the nuclear disaster at the Zaporizhia NPP.
• This is the trajectory of Russian missiles that fly, in particular, over Ukrainian nuclear facilities.
• Russian troops have mined the Kakhovskaya Dam and are blackmailing them by saying that they will blow it up.
• Russia uses phosphorous munitions, prohibited anti-personnel mines and a whole range of weapons against civilian infrastructures,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

Zelenskyi also emphasized that Ukraine is focused on reconstruction, not destruction.

• “Ukraine is reconstruction. It’s always about life. And there is only one person who can use nuclear weapons in our part of Europe, and this person ordered Comrade Shoigu to call somewhere.
• If Russia calls and says that Ukraine will prepare something, it means one thing: Russia has already prepared everything. I think that now the world should react as hard as possible. If Russia has prepared another round of rate hikes and another escalation step, now it needs to make sure the world doesn’t swallow it.
• The very threat of nuclear weapons from Russia – especially for our country, which gave up its nuclear arsenal under the promise of security from the largest nuclear powers – is a reason for sanctions and even greater support for Ukraine. Because the greater our support, the sooner this war will end. When a terrorist state raises the stakes, it must feel that things are going badly.
• Next week, this will be the main mission of our diplomats – to explain what is happening. And I am sure: the world will be with us. The world will understand,” concluded Zelensky.
