Several tourists who entered Piatra Craiului National Park on Saturday on two quad bikes were fined by gendarmes because they were traveling with vehicles in a protected area, News.ro reports. The total amount of fines imposed on Saturday by the Brasov gendarmes for this violation is 6,000 lei.

According to data provided by the Brasov Gendarmerie, gendarmes patrolling the area of ​​the Piatra Craiului National Park intervened after receiving a report that there were several ATVs in the guarded area of ​​the park.

“The gendarmes moved to the La Table area and found several people there with two quad bikes, which is against the law. Thus, individuals were fined a total of 4,000 lei in accordance with the provisions of Law 407/2006 on hunting and the hunting fund for traveling for the purpose of recreation in a motor vehicle outside public traffic routes in the village. hunting funds, without coordination with the manager,” reports the district inspection of the Brasov gendarmerie.

This was not the only such intervention by the Brasov gendarmes. In another area of ​​the national park, fines totaling 2,000 lei were issued for the same violations of the law.
