American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift’s long-awaited tenth studio album, Midnights, was released as the East Coast clock struck midnight, ET reports. Immediately after that, the singer expressed her gratitude to one of her main employees, Jack Antonoff, in her personal Instagram account.

She described him as a “co-ruler” of a “savage race”, creating “personal stories of sleepless nights” with him.

“He is a friend for life (I know, cocky, but I support him). We have been working together musically for almost ten years, HOWEVER… this is the first album where we were “main collaborators,” she wrote, posting a slideshow of photos of her and Antonov side by side.

“Jack and I found ourselves in New York, alone, writing down every night, staying up late and exploring thoughts of the ‘sleepless nights’ past. Midnight is a collage of tension with ebb and flow, ebb and flow. Life can be dark, stellar, confusing, scary, exciting, hot, cold, romantic, or lonely,” Taylor Swift concluded. “Just like Midnight.

According to the Guardian, “Midnight” is likely to take first place in 2022.
