Serena Williams (41 years old) celebrated her last official match at the US Open 2022, the American was eliminated in the third round by Aila Tomljanovic. On Wednesday, the former WTA leader surprised her fans by saying that she does not rule out a return to competition.

Serena, 41, made her first public appearance since the US Open on Wednesday at an event in San Francisco to promote her foundation.

“I am not suspended. The chances (to return) are very high. You can come to my house and see that I have land. I started this company (#Serena Ventures) a while ago, so I got to work right away.

I didn’t even think about retirement. But the other day I went out on the field and realized for the first time in my life that I was no longer playing competitively, and it was very strange.

Serena left tennis with an impressive 23 Grand Slam titles.

In total, she spent 319 weeks in the first position in the WTA hierarchy (between 2002 and 2017), and collected 73 titles during her career.

Serena Williams finished her career with 858 wins and 156 losses. He collected more than 94 million dollars from tennis prizes alone.
