
At the airport of the Russian city of Ufa, the co-pilot of the Ufa-Antalya flight was taken to the Military Commissariat directly from the plane. The flight was delayed for nine hours. One of the passengers told the local press about the event, writes Ukrainian Pravda with reference to Radio Free Europe, reports Yahoo News.
According to the passenger, the Azur Air flight to Antalya was scheduled to depart at 5:20 a.m. but did not depart until around 2:00 p.m.
An announcement was made over the loudspeaker: “In connection with the mobilization [parțiale] and the subsequent border crossing ban for the co-pilot, the takeoff is cancelled. Please leave the plane,” the passenger told Mkset.ru.
On September 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a “partial” mobilization, and according to the head of the Kremlin, 222,000 of the 300,000 planned for the draft had been drafted by Friday.
