The Russian, ranked 138th in the world, won after two hours and 38 minutes of play with a score of (7)6-7, 6-1, 6-3.

Blinkova will fight for a place in the final with compatriot Anastasia Potapova (48 WTA, favorite 4), who beat Anna Bondar (Hungary, 62 WTA and 8th seed) with a score of 7-5, 3-6, 6-1.

Jasmine Paolini (78 WTA) also advanced to the penultimate act of the “WTA 250” competition, the Italian beating Jules Niemeyer (Germany, 74 WTA) in straight sets, 7-5, 7-5.

Paolini will beat the winner of the match between the Chinese Xia Wang (59 WTA, favorite 7) and the Iberian Nuria Parrizas-Diaz (75 WTA) in the next round.
