On Tuesday, the leadership of the Chamber of Deputies decided to postpone the discussion of the simple submission against the Minister of the Interior, Lucian Bode. The decision came after the minister asked for the debate to be postponed on the grounds that his agenda was jam-packed with dealings with “foreign officials”.
Among the reasons is the signing of the IGSU contract for the purchase of multi-purpose ships. At the same time, Bode also reports that from October 12 he will be in Belgium, respectively Luxembourg, for events on the sidelines of the EU Council in the format of Justice and Home Affairs (JAI).
The minister asked to postpone the debate to the week of October 17-21.
A debate on the simple motion was scheduled for Tuesday at 11.30.
USR President Katelin Drula responded to the Interior Minister’s request by asking the Prime Minister to resign.
“Prime Minister Chuke should immediately dismiss Bode. A corrupt minister of the interior jeopardizes entry into the Schengen area. At 11:30 a.m., Minister Lucian Bode had to answer in parliament for a falsified BMW auction from a friend of Yohannis. At 8:52 a.m., an unprecedented fact, Bode sent a letter to the parliament in which he said that he was not coming because he had a different schedule,” Drula wrote on his Facebook page.
Last week, USR and ForČ›a Dreptei filed a simple complaint against Interior Minister Lucian Bode. The campaign is called “Safety and trust or abandonment and theft? Minister Bode must answer for the disaster he created.”
According to the Rules of the Parliament, a simple proposal must be submitted for discussion and voting at a plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies within a maximum of one week from the date of submission.
