ANAF is selling two cars belonging to former minister Olena Udrea, namely a 17-year-old Mercedes and a 10-year-old Fiat 500, as well as several plots of land located near Lake Streulesti, news.ro reports.
Despite the fact that the cars are quite old, the tax office is demanding €7,158 for the Fiat 500 and €7,685 for the Mercedes Benz S500. However, most of the money must come from the six lands for which ANAF is trying to get at least 793,447 euros, the price including VAT, Profit.ro reports.
Olena Udrea is currently serving a six-year prison term after the verdict in the case of Hala Bute.
ANAF often sells movable and immovable property, both to collect debts owed to the state due to non-payment of fees and taxes, and to recover damages in criminal cases. The procedure of the tax office is that the starting price of goods that are not sold from the first auction is reduced by 25% from the second, and from the third attempt – by another 25% from the initial price.
Then the price does not decrease.
