According to the fire department, the fire broke out around 11 a.m. in a forested area in the Agandero area in Marathon, Attica, without threatening a residential area.
44 firefighters, 2 groups of foot detachments, 12 vehicles and 1 helicopter are working at the site.
Season tickets are provided by local water bodies and volunteer firefighters.
