Cadariou wanted to clarify that he hopes that after an analysis for several months it will be possible to conclude that this is not necessarily a benefit and that it will be returned, but that he is waiting for data after the first three or six months.

“At one point I saw an estimate made by the trade associations that more than 70,000 employees would be affected at this point. Now let’s get this straight, I’m a political minister, I represent a right-wing party, a party that has fought in past years to pass such a provision. So, it is clear that we are not happy with this provision when the Fiscal Code was amended,” Cadariu said.

He clarified: “I created this coalition for stability, there are also compromises in the coalition. Unfortunately, this is one of those compromises, in the idea of functioning.”

The Minister of Entrepreneurship and Tourism specified that he is waiting for the results of this event.

“I hope that after analysis for several months it will be possible to conclude that this is not necessarily a benefit and it will return. On the other hand, we have to admit that we have some limitations imposed by the PNRR, which state that because there are too many exceptions to the general rule, the market is distorted. This taxation is also part of this objective to be achieved in the PNRR. As far as I’m concerned and as far as we’re concerned, we’ll try to impose it in the future, after we see the benefits, we’ll see what this measure adds to the budget,” Cadariou added.
