Iga Sviatek won the third Grand Slam title of her career after defeating Ons Jabert of Tunisia in the final of the US Open 2022. Thanks to the results in New York, both athletes collected significant amounts of money.

Thus, champion Sviatek leaves Flushing Meadows with the largest prize in the history of the competition: $2,600,000 ($1,820,000, after taxes).

After receiving the check, Iga joked on the podium: “I’m glad I’m not cash.”

In addition, Ons Jaber was selected with a prize of $1,300,000 ($910,000).
