A large fire brigade force arrived in the area with five fire engines, and help is also expected from Igoumenitsa.
Firefighters are scrambling to get the boats out of the way to prevent the fire from spreading further.
It should be noted that the marina of Gouvia is one of the largest in Greece, as it accommodates 960 boats, with fixed and floating moorings.
