Dominic Raab announced on Twitter on Tuesday that he will not be part of the cabinet of new British Prime Minister Liz Truss, leaving the posts of Justice Secretary and Deputy Prime Minister.

It is unclear from his tweet whether Dominique Raab resigned or was fired. But in practice, this distinction is often meaningless, because as soon as ministers realize that they will not be retained, they resign anyway, News.ro notes.
Raab angered the Truss camp by saying on the campaign trail that her economic policies would be an “electoral suicide note” for the party.
Thank you to the excellent team at the Department of Justice for all their hard work over the past year. Good luck to the new Prime Minister and her team. I look forward to the government’s support from the backbenches.

Grant Shepps will also no longer be Transport Secretary, having supported Rishi Sunak during the campaign.
And Steve Barkley, the health minister, left, he was also a supporter of Rishi Sunak.
Three will return to the positions of parliamentarians.
It was a great honor to serve as Secretary of Transportation; a job I loved. I now look forward to being a strong, independent voice on the backbenches, developing policies that advance the Conservative cause and the interests of my constituents in Welwyn Gatfield.
