During the last few days, all French motorists were able to take advantage of a discount of 30 cents per liter of fuel. A real deal for the latter, who have been burdened with very high prices for several months, when a liter sometimes exceeds two euros, for gasoline and diesel. So this small discount is an incentive that is sure to be much appreciated, allowing drivers to enjoy a little respite. No wonder the latter are rushing to service stations to take advantage of much cheaper fuel! So much so that it has even caused a shortage of stock, especially at TotalEnergies, which is offering an extra 20 cent discount on top of the government discount. Something everyone will agree on… or almost.

real nonsense

Indeed, some do not take kindly to this small gift offered to the French. And especially Sandrine Rousseau, environmental deputy of the ninth arrondissement of Paris. She is not very happy with this discount, which she describes as a real ” ecological nonsense“. She recently spoke on the subject to France 3, saying that ” I don’t want tax payers money to be used to fill Porsche tanks and big 4×4s […]This is environmental nonsense and it is social nonsense“. A label that, however, can seem a bit simplistic when one only has to go to a service station to realize that Porsche is not a legion…

A few reviews

But the green MP is not the only one who opposed this discount. Indeed, a few days ago, Loic Herve, the centrist senator from Haute-Savoie, was irritated by the fact that foreigners could also take advantage of this discount. He noted that ” the national budget should not finance the gas station of our Swiss neighbors […] This is money thrown out the window“. We remind you that the discount of 30 cents will be valid until October 31, and by the end of the year – by 10 cents.
