The digital service myPhoto is available through gov.gr.

From today, the myPhoto digital service is available, which is designed to greatly facilitate citizens and professional photographers in their relations with the state, significantly increasing the level of services provided. Thanks to the new digital service, professional photographers will be able to easily and securely store their clients’ digital face photograph and/or handwritten signature in the G-Cloud (Unified Government Cloud). Citizens will have at their disposal the digital files that concern them when they need them, having previously associated them with their VAT number, so that, if they wish, they can use:

• their photo in their digital transactions with the government and

• their signature exclusively in the process of issuing and replacing a driver’s license.

The myPhoto service can be accessed through gov.gr, as well as directly at the online address myPhoto.gov.gr. The operation of the myPhoto service is carried out as follows: initially, a citizen applies to a certified photographer, i.e. a professional photographer who has declared the appropriate KAD (activity code) in the AADE registry, who receives a photograph of the person’s face and / or the citizen’s handwritten signature. The photographer (or their authorized employee) will then log into myPhoto using the Taxisnet codes, upload the digital files to myPhoto and enter the citizen’s mobile phone number and/or email address to send the required code corresponding to the files related to him.

After receiving the code, the citizen will be able to log into myPhoto using the Taxisnet codes and view their digital photo and/or signature. After that, he will be able to:

• associate the above digital files with its identifying information such as VAT number

• store digital files on your computer and

• allow the Company’s electronic applications and services to be used where necessary, without requiring a photo or handwritten signature.

Detailed instructions for using the myPhoto service can be found here: https://gsis.gr/sites/default/files/myPhoto/POLITHS-MyPhoto_User_Manual.pdf

It is clarified that in order to authenticate both photographers and citizens in the myPhoto service, it is necessary to have a verified mobile phone number in the National Communications Register (NMR).

At the first stage of myPhoto applications, which can automatically connect and extract digital photos and handwritten signatures of citizens after they are authorized by a citizen, they are associated with a driver’s license (renewal, copy due to theft / loss / damage, replacement with a driver’s license). new type). Gradually, myPhoto will be interconnected with other digital services of the Government, which require the provision of a photo.

myPhoto was developed by the General Secretariat of Digital Governance and Facilitation of Public Administration and Information Systems of the Ministry of Digital Governance, pursuant to the Joint Ministerial Decision (Government Gazette B’ 4484/24.08.2022) of the Minister of Digital Governance. Kyriakos Pierrakakis and Deputy Finance Minister Theodoros Silakakis.
