Isakov says that his 25-year-old daughter, Diana Isakov, gave interviews to foreign media that were against Russia, and “sold her father, her family, her homeland and left Russia.”

“It’s hard to find words when your daughter turns out to be a traitor,” the senator wrote in Telegram.

He stated that his daughter had a difficult adolescence and that until now she had several conflicts with him and even tried to end her life by suicide. Before the war, the senator and his daughter did not speak to each other because the young woman supported LGBT rights.

Currently, Diana Isakova spoke with the Russian BBC and the Meduza website.

In a message published on Instagram, she spoke out against the war: “I am against this war! No war!”.

“Now our government is making our nation and the neighboring nation suffer,” said the young woman.

In April, Isakov was detained and interrogated by the police for an anti-war protest. On August 19, the young woman left Russia.
