The news of the sudden death of actor and playwright Cimara Tzanatos (pictured) caused a storm of emotions. The bad news broke through Facebook when his online friends said goodbye to him on his page with emotional messages. He first worked as an actor in theater, television and film. From the mid-1990s, he retired to return to the stage in 2012. He acted as a playwright in 2004 with the text “Exodus” in the play “Odyssey of Dreams”. His latest work “Miss Misfortune” was presented in October 2014 and won the “Carols Kuhn” award.

(…) The jury for the International Booker Prize 2023, which has just been announced, will be chaired by the French-Moroccan writer Leila Slimani, bestselling author of The Lullaby, and will work with: Willem Blaker, one of the most important British translators from Ukraine, Tan Tuan Eng, Malaysian-born writer and Booker Prize nominee; Peral Segal, New Yorker critic; Fredrik Stadtmann, literary editor of the Financial Times.
