
The 40-year-old foreigner was arrested on Tuesday, August 16, by officers of the Athens Security Subdivision of the Attica Security Directorate. The 40-year-old woman is charged with aggravated professional theft, complicity and as a follow-up, and violating the Gun Act.
In particular, as part of the investigation of cases of theft from houses in an apartment building in the Voula area with stolen valuables and valuable jewelry, police officers identified the accused, verified her criminal activities and solved four cases of theft.
According to ELAS, the 40-year-old woman worked as a domestic helper and used a special device to detect precious minerals to identify and remove valuable items and jewelry from homes, which she resold for immediate financial gain.
In addition, she used key duplicating clay to copy-print the keys to the houses she worked on and then give them to at least one accomplice, who used them to break into houses without leaving any trace of forced entry.
During a search of her house, they found and seized: 50 watches, a gilded lighter, 2 gilded chains, 22 pairs of cufflinks, 6 bracelets, 10 collectible pens, a pair of earrings, 7 gilded icons of the Orthodox Church, the Holy Gospel in a silver case … shops in a case marked EBO, 173 cartridges of various calibers, 8 cylinders of carbon dioxide, 2 containers with bullets for pneumatic weapons, a mobile phone and various documents.
The detained woman was brought to the competent prosecutor’s office.
