Better call Saul“, a popular series from the American television channel AMC, which is also in his library. Netflixrecently concluded after six seasons with Gone with Saul, a finale that sparked controversy among fans and critics about its plot, pacing, and aesthetic.

Breaking Bad prequel star Bob Odenkirk sent an emotional message to mark the end of the series. Sharing the video on his Instagram account, the actor begins by explaining that he cannot put his feelings into words as he is still in the process of understanding how such a wonderful project as Better Call Saul was created. “Everyone asks me how I feel about saying goodbye to Saul Goodman and the show. I don’t know how to answer this question, because it’s hard for me to look at this experience so closely, even at the character. There are so many pieces that fit together so beautifully. For me personally, it’s a mystery how it happened. Thank you for watching.”

Odenkirk then thanked series creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould for casting him in the role. “I didn’t do anything to earn this role, but I hope I’ve earned it in these six seasons,” the actor said. But he also thanked the actors, colleagues who made him “the best actor” while they were by his side. “It was an incredible experience. Never again will I meet such wonderful people who do their job so well. I can’t imagine it. God bless you for all that you have done for this series.”

At the end of the video, the actor thanked the fans. “Thank you for giving us a chance (…) we were given a chance and I hope we succeeded. A bit long at times, but at the end of the day, if you noticed, the show was about the big things in people.”

The first episode of the series aired in February 2015.
