
The police investigated two cases of electronic fraud in areas of Central Macedonia, namely in Katerini and Gumenis.
The criminal case was initiated by the Katerina sub-department of security against seven people, as it turned out as a result of the investigation, in March 2021, an unknown person contacted a man by phone who posted an advertisement for the sale of agricultural machinery on the Internet. . An unknown person, under the guise of purchasing this vehicle, after extracting its bank codes, transferred from the victim’s account to the accounts of the above seven persons a total amount of 18,000 euros.
Also, the police department of Goumenissa of the city of Kilkis opened a case against ten people for the fact that, according to the investigation, in July 2021, under the pretext of buying an agricultural machine that a citizen put up for sale on an ad on the Internet, a sum of money was paid. €21,300 was withdrawn from his bank account.
