Yesterday, Thursday, August 11, according to the message of the General Directorate of Police of the Crete Region, targeted operations were carried out in the areas of the municipalities of Hersonissos, Chania and Platanias.
The raid, according to the announcement, covered the full range of police powers and included checks on people, vehicles and places, confirmation of violations and arrests – confiscations.
Specifically, according to the results: 650 people and 350 cars were checked. 62 traffic violations confirmed and 26 people arrested: four people for driver’s license revocation, eight for customer abuse, four people for drug law violations, four people for disturbing the peace, two people for suspending music ID to stores of health interest , one person for street trading and three people for sound measurement in stores of health interest.
In addition, small quantities of cocaine and marijuana were confiscated, as well as manufactured goods (bracelets, etc.). Such operational actions, whose main characteristics are the strengthening of the presence of the police and the implementation of targeted control, will continue in all regions of the Crete region.
