
The fire brigade was given an alarm after a mistake by workers who serviced the pool at a large hotel on the coastal road of Agios Nikolaos in the city. Crete.
It all happened when a worker mixed the liquids he was supposed to pour into a barrel to clean the pool and sprayed chlorine with hydrochloric acid, causing a cloud and a strong stench.
According to ERT, the fire brigade was immediately called, which, in turn, called the EMAK road service dealing with chemical accidents. There were no tourists in the area, and there was no need to cordon off the territory, as the incident was sorted out quickly.
As a precaution, three workers who were at the mixing site were taken to the hospital. Preventive tests were carried out without any problem with the diagnosis, and they left.
