AT Gins from Rethymno the fire started some time ago in a grassy area, and 7 vehicles with 14 firefighters and a group of male tourists immediately arrived at the scene and are working. The fire does not threaten the residential area while volunteers from the area try to put it out.

also in Peninsula Heraklion a fire started on the property, but the immediate intervention of firefighters prevented the risk of it spreading to the adjacent residential area. Currently, the fire is under partial control and 5 vehicles with 10 firefighters, as well as a group of tourists, are trying to completely extinguish it.
