A team of scientists lifted an unidentified sea object to the surface of the ship. In the open air, judging by the photo, you can see a convex, slightly limp, shiny object that fits in one hand.

“Aren’t the depths extremely strange?” asked expedition coordinator Sam Candio, as quoted by NOAA.

“We cannot identify it yet, we only know that it is of biological origin,” says the scientist.

“We probably won’t know more about it until it’s (studied) in the lab,” he added.

This discovery at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean “reminds us how little we know about our planet” and oceans, he adds.
