How dead whales can help us find alien life

It’s not like we’re sending a few dead whales into outer space, waiting for the aliens to come and see if we get carried away. The idea is that the phenomenon caused by the carcasses of dead whales could be a great idea for detecting alien life where it is almost impossible to find it.

Since 1977, when whale carcasses were first spotted at a depth of more than 1,000 meters, researchers have been able to analyze what is happening to them. In particular, in a place that is extremely poor in nutrients, these carcasses attract countless life forms that feed on whale remains. From lobsters, crabs, octopuses and deep-sea fish species to millions of microbes and bacteria. In fact, dozens of new species have been discovered just by studying the process involved.

What do dead whales have to do with possible life on other planets? Well, several researchers from Chengdu University of Technology, China, along with experts from NASA and the Madrid Astrobiology Center, say we could recreate this process to attract microbial life forms if they could exist on other planets.

In this case, two celestial bodies with completely different conditions were taken into account. The first, Mars, a planet already known to contain compounds necessary for life. To attract microbial life forms, Martian rovers can deploy small sterile, transparent, heat-insulated domes. In such domes, where the conditions for photosynthesis have already been created, water and organic compounds can be placed to attract potential microbial life forms.

The second case is Saturn’s moon Titan. Given the different conditions compared to the planet Mars, researchers say that launching “projectiles” containing elements such as phosphorus, salt, calcium, iron, magnesium, etc., will create points of attraction for possible life sources. All you have to do is watch if the mentioned items start disappearing. If so, that means they are being absorbed by some life forms. Eureka!

If nothing is discovered, and this is a discovery, we stop campaigning and know that there is no life there. Or at least life as we understand it.

The Pentagon received hundreds of new reports of UFO sightings

Until we start looking for extraterrestrial life at home, it remains to be seen whether it exists here. In particular, after the creation in July of a special office in the Pentagon, an office to deal with hundreds or thousands of reports of the existence of unidentified flying objects, aliens should be afraid, because we are on their trail.

So far, none have been found, and the bad news is that all the cases investigated have turned out to be false. In short, it’s not a leg, antenna, tentacle, or whatever they would have, an alien.

Officials at that office say they started 2021 with 144 files in cases reported between 2004 and 2022 and have now added several hundred more. Obviously, it is expected that much more will get to the table of experts.

Signals from the atmosphere, oceans, and space were analyzed. But, as experts say, there is still zero unequivocal evidence. Nada! Now there is another possibility that the Americans are considering. That so far unidentified flying objects are actually of Russian, Chinese or some other purely earthly origin.

The hypothesis they study is, according to their own statements, the most serious. And then one can only wonder: are they really looking for alien life or…? If that’s the case, then the dead whale version seems to hold up better.

Two new planets have been discovered, both of which may harbor life

Either they want to tell us something and do not know how to take it so that the heart does not jump, or, at most, it is inflation of news about extraterrestrial life. More precisely, two more exoplanets have been added to the almost 5,000 currently discovered exoplanets. And both are in the habitable zone of the star “only” 16 light years from us.

The star is called Gj 1002, it is a red dwarf, and its mass is several times less than the mass of our Sun. This means that the living area is very close to it. In fact, one of the two planets (Gj 1002b) takes about ten Earth days to make a full revolution, the other (Gj 1002c) takes about twenty.

This is about all that is known about them at the moment, they were just discovered, there was no time for too large observations. The good news is that being so close to their star will make the two planets easier to spot. And the first step will be to explore their possible atmosphere. If anything is found, don’t worry, we’ll keep you posted.

Aliens will be identified using a laser

As I said before, it seems that humanity has a bad idea about aliens and wants to bring them into the light, on the air, at any cost. So what? Have these green monsters been drawing us into a galactic game of hide-and-seek for so long? So what? Are we really the last scorched earth on the Milky Way? Well, there’s really no escape for them this time, according to some researchers who have seen too many movies like Independence Day.

In a study published in the journal arXiv, the mentioned authors claim that alien ships can be detected using laser beams that detect the gravitational waves left by them. The only problem, albeit a minor one, would be that some conditions need to be met.

First of all, the ships should be a little bigger. About the size of the planet Jupiter. Then it would have to travel at least one-tenth the speed of light. This is so that they can leave gravitational waves that we can detect with a laser. This is it.

Ah, there was something else. It should still be a reasonable distance from Terra. Let’s say about 326,000 light years. It was. Clear! I broke their mouths!
