Angelique Kerber defeated Petra Martic in the first round in Indian Wells
Returning to the WTA after giving birth, Angelique Kerber got the tournament off to the right start in Indian Wells.
Having reached the 607th place in the world ranking, Kerber defeated Petra Martic (58 WTA) in two sets, at the end of the match, which lasted one hour and 31 minutes.

The BNP Paribas Open is a WTA 1000 tournament that takes place from March 6 to 17. The game is played on a hard surface and the total prize pool is $8,995,555. Titled champion – Olena Rybakina.
