Former England manager Roy Hodgson has decided to step down from the Crystal Palace bench on the day of their match against Everton due to the health problems he faced last week.

Hodgson, 76, fell ill during training on Thursday amid reports of his sacking.
Crystal Palace have lost 10 of their last 16 Premier League games and sit 16th in the table, five points above the relegation zone.
“This club is very special and means a lot to me,” said Hodgson.
Palace play 18th-placed Everton in the Premier League on Monday night, with Hodgson’s assistants Paddy McCarthy and Ray Lewington in charge.
Former Eintracht Frankfurt coach Oliver Glasner, 49, is the hot favorite to replace Hodgson permanently.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here over six seasons as it has given me the opportunity to work with top-class players and staff, doing what I love every day,” added Hodgson.
“However, I understand that given the recent circumstances it would be prudent for the officials to plan for the future and I have therefore taken the decision to step down so that the club can implement its plans for a new manager as planned this summer. I am confident that the season will end successfully and I wish the team success in the coming weeks, months and seasons,” he said, according to News.ro.
The club said Hodgson has now been released from hospital and is “doing well”.
“Roy has a special place in Crystal Palace’s history and that will never be forgotten,” said chairman Steve Parish.
“I would like to say a huge thank you to Roy for his service and wish him all the best for the future; It’s fair to say that Roy holds the keys to Selhurst Park and will always be looked after,” Parish said.
Roy Hodgson has stepped down as first team manager.
We thank Roy for his outstanding service in which he played 200 games over six seasons.
