Aleksandar Ceferin announced that he will not run for a fourth term as UEFA president, although he received the right

Since 2016, UEFA President Aleksandar Ceferin has been in his third term at the highest post of the European forum.

As UEFA rules only allowed 3 terms as president, he managed to change this status after a meeting on 8 February where all member countries expressed their views on this status change.

The only federation to oppose was England, and Ceferin carried out his plan, but the following speech turned the football world upside down.

“About six months ago, I decided not to run again in 2027. The reason is that every organization needs fresh blood after a while, but especially because I was away from my family for seven years.

I am tired of Covid, tired of two wars, tired of ridiculous projects like the so-called Super League.

I deliberately didn’t want to reveal what I was thinking until now, because I wanted to see the true face of some people, and I did. I have a great life in football, I have a great life outside of football.” Ceferin said, The Guardian reports.
