
Slovakian skier Petra Vlhova fell and was evacuated on a stretcher during the first stage of the giant slalom in Jasna, Slovakia, on Saturday, a week after Oleksandr Aamodt Kilde was injured on the Wengen downhill.

The 28-year-old skier, who won the 2020-2021 World Cup, fell near gate 9 and apparently dislocated her right knee.
The race was interrupted for a few minutes while Vlgov was assisted by emergency services. This is the first injury in the skier’s career.
Slovakia is the reigning Olympic slalom champion and was the 2019 giant slalom world champion.
In the overall standings of the World Cup, Vglova is in second place, 227 points behind her big rival, the American Mikaela Shiffrin, writes News.ro.
