Olena Ostapenko has lost just two of her 11 matches in 2024, both against the same player. The athlete from Latvia stopped in the third round of the Australian Open-2024 after being eliminated by Victoria Azarenka.

Having been defeated by Azarenka in the quarterfinals in Brisbane, Ostapenko did not find an answer to the game of the two-time champion in Melbourne (2012, 2013).

In Saturday’s match, Victoria served 11 aces and won more games than Jelena (23-20 / usually the Latvian is better than her opponents in this section).

Ostapenko made almost twice as many unforced errors (30-17) and surrendered after an hour and 24 minutes of play, 6-1, 7-5 (she led 5-2 in the second set).

Australian Open 2024 will be held from January 14 to 28. The reigning champions are Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenko.
