Bohdan (66 WTA and 7 seed in qualifying) needed an hour and 34 minutes to win 6-1, 6-2.

Christina made a break in the first game of the match, but a series of nine games was won by the Romanian, and Ana played perfectly until the end of the match.

Mladenovic (242 WTA singles, former world doubles leader) made 9 double faults and had a low serve percentage (55% on the first and 33% on the second).

Kristina Mladenovic has 9 Grand Slam titles: 6 in women’s doubles (Australian Open 2018, 2020 and Roland Garros 2016, 2019, 2020, 2022) and 3 in mixed (Australian Open 2014, 2022 and Wimbledon 2013). The French also won the Tournament of Champions (2018, 2019), the Federation Cup (2019) and the Hopman Cup (2017).

• Romania has direct access to the main draw from Adelaide: Sorana Kirstea (26 WTA) will play Latvia’s Jelena Ostapenko (12 WTA, favorite 7 and Roland Garros 2017 champion) in the first round.
