Laura Glauser (France/CSM Bucharest) and Natalie Hagman (Sweden/SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea) are the Flower League players who impressed in the final tournament.

The best player of the Women’s World Handball Championship was chosen by Norwegian Henny Reystad.

France won the women’s handball world title after a tense final against Norway with a score of 31-28 (20-17).

France won gold at the World Cup three times: in 2003 (with Croatia), 2017 (with Germany) and 2023 (with Denmark, Norway and Sweden).

The French women also boast four second places (silver medals) in 1999 (from Denmark and Norway), 2009 (from China), 2011 (from Brazil) and 2021 (from Spain).

Norway has won the World Cup title four times: 1999 (the edition was held in Denmark and Norway), 2011 (in Brazil), 2015 (in Denmark) and 2021 (in Spain).

Norway won silver medals five more times: 1997 (in Germany), 2001 (in Italy), 2007 (in France), 2017 (in Germany) and 2023 (in Denmark, Norway and Sweden).

The Scandinavians also have three more bronze medals: 1986 (Netherlands), 1993 (Norway) and 2009 (China).
