Dan Petrescu’s Cheonbuk Hyundai team advanced to the 1/8 finals of the Asian Champions League after beating Bangkok United (Thailand) 3-2 in the last match of Group F.

Together with Jeonbuk, Dan Petrescu made it to the 1/8 finals of the Asian Champions League

Bangkok opened the scoring through Jarunongkran (‘4), but the South Korean team scored three goals in a row thanks to Seon-Min Moon (’42) and Dong-Jun Lee (’76, ’78). The last goal of the guests was scored by Pumchantuek (’85).

The first-placed teams in each group and the best second-placed teams advance to the Round of 16 (Jonbuk was second in points).

Know:

  • The draw for the playoffs of the Asian Champions League is scheduled for December 28.
  • Jeonbuk Hyundai finished 4th in the South Korean Championship and will participate in the Asian Champions League 2 next season.
