Lamborghini Urus Performante: the latest model from the Italian police
The collaboration between Lamborghini and the Italian State Police began in 2004, and the Urus Performante is the sixth model to join the fleet of the Italian traffic police. Thus, the sports SUV joins the Huracán LP610-4 and will enter service in 2024: it will be used for special missionssuch as urgent medical transport of organs or plasma.
This example of the Urus Performante was specially designed by the Lamborghini teams in Sant’Agata Bolognese, according to the specifications of the Italian State Police, with blue and white livery, finished with tricolor stripes on the sides and a reflective blue and yellow checkerboard on the rocker panels. The ‘Polizia’ badging is also reflective, and the roof features a 360° blue LED strip, complemented by a two-tone electric siren.
Twin-turbo V8 engine with a capacity of 666 horsepower
We find in the salon specially installed equipment to meet the needs of the Italian police: an armored chest for weapons, a retractable display for messages or even a special compartment in the trunk to store official equipment, not forgetting a defibrillator for first aid.
For the needs of urgent transportation of organs, a portable refrigerator was also installed in the trunk together with a screen and a data logger, which allows constant monitoring of the internal temperature of the device.
Under the hood, the Urus Performante is powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine power development 666 horsepower for 850 Nm of torque, which allows you to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 secondsall for a maximum speed of 306 km/h.
