
TAS found an explanation in the case of Simona Halep (32 years old). She appealed the ITIA’s decision, which suspended her for 4 years, but the case was dismissed. The ex-WTA leader does not even appear in the list of future sessions of the Lausanne court.
On September 12, Simona Halep was suspended for 4 years for two anti-doping rule violations, the use of the prohibited substance roxadustat and the suspicion that she used prohibited methods/substances during the 2022 season, a conclusion reached by ITIA Experts based on her biological passport data .
But in the official list of meetings, published on the official website of the TAS, there are cases pending until March 21, 2024. Simone’s appeal is not among them. And the Sports Court of Lausanne came up with new details in the Halep case, explaining how appointments are made.
