
Romania’s under-21 youth team lost a chance to win an important victory in the qualifiers for the 2025 European Championship. The boys, who are coached by Daniel Pancu, drew 2-2 with Switzerland after a match in which the tricolors led twice.

The Romanian U21 national team scored only one point against Switzerland.
The Daniel Pancu-coached side opened the scoring in the 11th minute through Rares Ilye, but equalized 12 minutes later after Alvin Sanchez finished the phase.
Before the break, the tricolor team again took the lead. Dina Grameni gave Romania the lead again, scoring from Vulturara’s pass.
In the second half, the Swiss controlled the ball more and in the 88th minute, Daniel Dos Santos restored parity for the Swiss again, also setting the final score of the game.
