Azerbaijan outnumbered Sweden

With one win and one draw in six games and no chance of qualifying, Azerbaijan beat Sweden 3-0.

The first minutes were tense, the Azerbaijanis scored 2:0 already in the 6th minute after the successes of Makhmudov and Dadashov.

The second half brought a numerical imbalance, Mustafazda saw a straight red card in the 56th minute.

Despite dominating possession and an impressive number of chances, Sweden did not score with an extra man and even conceded another goal from Makhmudov in the 89th minute.

The victory is all the more surprising because Azerbaijan made only three shots on goal, and all of them were converted into goals.

In Group F, Austria and Belgium have already qualified for the final tournament of the European Championship in Germany.
