Davyd Popovichi took third place in the 100-meter individual medley at the national swimming championship in Otopeni.
The athlete registered with CS Dinamo Bucharest finished the event in 54.58 seconds, ahead of Mihai Gergeli (54.41) and Patrick Sebastian Dinu (54.17), who also won the event.
David Popovici also won gold in the 100m freestyle and 200m freestyle.
Trained by Adrian Redulescu, Popovici will compete again in Otopeni on Sunday in the 50m freestyle.
At the previous European Championships in the 25-meter pool (Kazan – 2021), David Popovichi won the gold medal in the 200-meter freestyle.
The country’s swimming championships in Otopeni are a test competition for the European 25-meter pool championships, which will take place next month (December 5-10) in Otopeni, reports CS Dinamo.
