Damak were knocked out in the last 16 of the King’s Cup in Saudi Arabia on Monday.

The Cosmin Kontra-coached side lost their clash with Al Khali after 1-1 after 120 minutes and 6-5 on penalties.

Jung Woo-Young opened the scoring for the home side in the 27th minute, but Nicolae Stanchiu restored parity with a superb free-kick (33rd minute) in his signature style.

They tied after 90 minutes, so the match went into overtime.

Mansour Hamzi was eliminated from the home team at the 105th + 5th minute, but the winner was determined by a penalty.

Nicolae Stanciu also scored from the penalty spot, but misses from Ahmed Harisi and Makin made the difference as the Contra side crashed out of the competition.
