Athletes who are interested in what they will do after the end of their sports career can supplement their education with the help of a private business school that conducts its courses offline in Bucharest as well as online.

The Sports Business Academy was founded in 2015 by a group of ASE marketing students who say one of the founders realized they could offer business education courses to post-career athletes.

Cristian Gheorghe, one of the founders, and Rezvan Topa, business development manager, try every year to convince athletes of all kinds to prepare in time for life after retirement.

They say it all starts with education, and they encourage athletes to learn from other athletes or business people, whether that means being a sports club manager or doing sports marketing, like in the book.

This autumn, on Hotnews.ro and StartupCafe.ro, we continue to look for video stories with entrepreneurs who have invested money in sports or sports-related activities.

In the fifth episode of the video mini-series “Entrepreneurs in Sports”, we discussed with Christian and Rezvan how an athlete can prepare for his future after the end of his competitive career and what business education in sports entails.
