UEFA has announced that home matches of the national and club teams of Israel in the European Cups will be held at neutral venues following the terrorist attacks by the Hamas group.

This means that even the match between Israel and Romania, scheduled for November 18, will not be played in the Holy Land.

The president of the Israel Football Federation, Shino Zertz, commented on UEFA’s decision regarding the neutral field of UEFA competitions.

He said he understood the decision of the European Forum and clarified that neither the clubs nor the national teams were considering canceling matches in UEFA competitions, as was common after the outbreak of the crisis in Israel. Previously, there were rumors that the national teams of Israel were considering the possibility of abandoning the European Cups, which would mean that Romania had already qualified for Euro 2024.
