Switzerland and Belarus put on a show in the first match of the evening in Romania’s group. The team, coached by Murat Yakin, came back from 1-3 to draw (3-3), which currently holds the top spot in Group I.

Switzerland could lose top spot in Group I if Romania beats Andorra

Having prevented the team trained by Edi Iordenescu (0:0) in Budapest, the Belarus national team made another big surprise in the Romania group and drew with Switzerland.

At “Kybunpark”, the hosts opened the scoring in the 28th minute of the game through Xherdan Shaqiri, who achieved two successes in this group.

In the second half, the Belarusians shocked this group and scored 3 times against the Swiss.

In the 61st minute of the dispute, Max Ebong restored the tie, and Denys Polyakov made the score 2:1 (min. 69).

In addition, the guests also scored the 3rd goal in the 84th minute, and Dmytro Antilevsky completed the action.

In front of their fans, Switzerland did not give up and managed to win back in the last minutes of the game. Akanji first reduced the gap (89th minute) and Amduni equalized in the 90th minute to set up the final score.
