Garbiñe Murgurusa says she has no plans to return to tennis at the moment

Former WTA leader and two-time Grand Slam champion Muguruza won her last official match in September 2022.

Since that moment, the Iberian, who was born in Venezuela, has recorded six defeats in a row.

In the current season, Garbiñe has not lost, and on April 3 she announced her temporary retirement from tennis.

However, she has been active on social media, where she keeps her fans up to date with her day-to-day activities (posts with boyfriend Artur Borges are also not absent).

In an interview with Women’s Health, the ex-WTA leader (who recently turned 30) says that at the moment she has no intention of returning to tennis.

Garbin says she has other priorities, such as sleep, rest, being with loved ones and making up for lost time.

“Tennis has no place in my routine. I still follow my chainmates and sometimes I still play, but not intensively, just for fun.

It no longer occupies my mind (not tennis), my day, or my routine. I really took a break and try to stay away from the courts,” he says Garbinier Muguruza.
