
Virgiliu Caushan, a former legendary player of Steaua Bucharest, has died at the age of 65 after a “month of suffering”, according to the Romanian Basketball Federation.
Kepusan was a main component of the Romanian national teams, both among juniors and among seniors.
He has 11 senior national championship titles with Steaua Bucharest, a team he has been loyal to throughout his career.
As a coach, he worked at CS Otopeni, Concordia Chiajna and in recent years at the first women’s division Agronomia Bucharest.
