Rezvan Marin is convinced that the united group can qualify us for the European Championship – the “tricolors” will meet Belarus and Andorra
After an 8-year break, the Romanian national football team is a few steps away from historic qualification for the European Championship.
Edi Iordenescu’s side are second in their EURO 2024 qualifying group and face Belarus (October 12) and Andorra (October 15) in their next two games.
During the press conference, Rezvan Marin spoke about the national team’s progress so far, but also highlighted what he believes to be Romania’s main asset in this group.
“I would have expected this place in the group. We have two very important matches waiting for us. We have to win two games. If we do what we’ve done so far, I mean in terms of working on the ground, seriously, we’re going to get what we want.
Me and my colleagues, my friends said that we should have one goal. Let’s go to the Euro. Now we are on the chart. We hope that after these two matches we will stay here.
I’m still an optimist. The main asset is the unity of the group. Only with the group we were able to bring results. Everyone stepped up with a goal, an assist, an individual action, and it mattered. Nothing can be solved without a unified group. This is our main asset.” – said the Empoli midfielder, according to the official website of the Romanian Football Federation.
