Lewis Hamilton (38 years old) had a short race on the Losail track, the Briton got off shortly after the start of the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton has been fined €50,000 after resigning as Qatar’s parliament.
Having started the Grand Prix from the third position, Hamilton forced a lot in the first corner, and after a collision with his teammate George Russell, he had to get off.
Extremely nervous after the refusal, Lewis also broke the rules: he went to the pits on foot, he was caught by the cameramen while he was walking along the track (a prohibited act).
The stewards did not forgive the Briton, and Hamilton received a fine of 50,000 euros.
For now, he will only pay half the amount, and the rest only if he relapses during the current season.
During the hearing, Hamilton apologized and admitted that his gesture was completely wrong.
