If Polestar was born in 1998, then the tuner was bought by Volvo only in 2015. The latter is then responsible for the brand’s sporty models, such as the S60, to turn them into more efficient cars. But in 2018, the strategy of the Swedish brand changed, and it decided to make its official sneakers a full-fledged manufacturer. The latter, like the Cupra, is responsible for selling more sporty models. Since 2017, the company has been presenting Polestar 1, a large hybrid sedan iinspired by the S90.

An amazing thing

The press and the public were unanimous, this car was a real success, especially in terms of aesthetics. And, obviously, everyone wants it to appear on the market. So she had to get to our house first during 2021. Yes, but that doesn’t sit too well with Citroën, which accuses Polestar of copying its chevron logo. Then followed a long legal battle, as a result of which Polestar was banned from selling its models on the French market.

The site then indicates that its access ” unavailable to the French public due to territorial restrictions on the use of French brands n°016898173 and n°01689532“. But finally, after a long procedure, the two manufacturers found a common language, and Polestar will be able to sell its cars here. This should apply to the new restyled Polestar 2, which will arrive at dealerships in the coming months.
