Marius Ĺ umudike recently signed for the Turks from Gaziantep, the team that is in the last place in the Turkish league. The Romanian technician is in his second term on the bench of the reserve team of the Super League.
Marius Shumudike says that returning to Gaziantep is a challenge for his career
Marius Ĺ umudike, who was out of contract following his split with Al Raed, has returned after two months on the bench to sign for the Gaziantep Turks.
The 52-year-old Romanian coach has signed a contract until the summer of 2024 with the bottom-ranked Turkish side and was officially unveiled on Thursday.
Shumudike also coached Gaziantep from July 2019 to January 2021, and he said in a press conference that he left unfinished business with the current team.
“It was not easy for me, but I came with an open heart. I feel like this is my own home. This place has given me everything before. I tried to give everything to this city.
I wanted to joke in the interview, of course, I did not think that it would be such a problem. Later, the city became sensitive to this joke. I apologized to everyone. But it was too late. Since then, both I and the city have lost.
Once again, I apologize to everyone. Coming here now is a big risk for me. However, I have never been a career-slowing coach.
I think I will be successful with this team as well. We have an unfinished story here, I hope we will fill it again with success.” – said Marius Tsyumudika at the official presentation.
